Work House Coffee - Reading Cost: Cheap Rating: 4.8/5 My Friend Amber recommended this place and I’m so glad she did. The exterior isn’t the only thing that is charming about this place. The inside is warm and welcoming, and the staff reflect this too. I was initially overwhelmed at how many options there were, but I eventually plucked up the courage to ask the barista for her recommendation. Instead of fobbing me off (as has been the case with so many coffee shops in the past), or just telling me what sells well, she asks what flavours I like and how I take my coffee. From there, she makes her recommendation based on the fact that I like my coffee rather strong with some milk. She goes on to tell me a bit about the business and how the owner is a huge coffee enthusiast.
